A Classic Summer Outfit of Blue and White Stripe Cotton
I'm back in summer dresses over again, this time with a summertime classic of blue and white stripe cotton fiber.
Terminal week I bankrupt my run of five summer dresses in a row with a pair of palm print culottes, simply as promised this week information technology'south back to celebrating the stunning English summer we're having with all the dresses, otherwise known as The Best Opportunity to Continually Article of clothing Summertime Dresses I Tin can Ever Remember.
I bought this clothes from Mango – and not that I'm a creature of habit or annihilation and PLEASE don't approximate me, but yes – this is another stripe apparel. A quaternary, if anyone's counting (run into 1, ii and iii for proof)! Merely when your summer wardrobe – in its entirety – doesn't fit you anymore and then you have to bite the bullet and buy some new things. Unfortunately there have been so many fabulous dresses around this flavour that I've gone a chip dress-buying crazy. But I need to experience skillful almost myself when nada fits, and there's no point getting depressed about it. I'1000 more likely to feel incentivised to get up and Practice something about it when I'm feeling positive, then that's my justification right in that location. (Did I convince yous?! 😉 Did I convince myself, more to the point…)

This was one of those dresses that, when it arrived, made me go,Ohhhh when I tried it on…

… considering it's pretty see-through.
The fabric is a semi-sheer cotton, and whilst I adore bluish and white stripes in the summer AND the wrap style AND the puffy sleeves AND the lace panel, I did recollect information technology was far besides run into-through to wear by itself. I decided to wear a nude slip underneath to relieve my blushes… good task I did as the wrap wasn't all that secure at the hem! Side by side fourth dimension I might wear it with a pale bluish slip – I have 1 that came with a blue Hobbs eyelet dress merely I'd lent that to my niece the day I wore this. The blue one might piece of work a treat, we shall meet.
I've likewise succumbed to the straw bag trend and bought a very plain one from Amazon. I haven't still tied a scarf or added pom poms or something similar to information technology, but I will; it needs a little accessorisation. Due to packing for the firm motion I have limited accessories – many of my things are already in boxes. I didn't call up that I'd be needing cervix scarves for the very specific reason of tying one to a straw bag…!
And finally: check out that STUNNER of a bluish Swarovski crystal ring*. It was gifted to me by my wonderful friend Lisa (AKA The Sequinist) and although I've had it ages and worn it several times I haven't really featured information technology on the blog. I chopped off my long nails a year ago to go them back to a proficient status, and finally they're long and healthy over again… I didn't want to feature them in a mega close upward before now because that ring demands nifty nails.

Give thanks yous for joining the #iwillwearwhatilike link up! This started equally a campaign on Instagram in August 2022 where women over 30 wore everything on a journalist's list of "inappropriate" items for xxx+ women (including leopard print, brusk dresses and oversized sunglasses. Yep, really). It was and then popular that I decided to carry information technology on weekly where women of all ages link upward their fabulous mode, never listen what anyone tells them not to wear!
